Join us on the second Wednesday of each month for Casual Day!

At the North American Taekwondo and Hoijeon Moosool Academy, we believe that strong martial artists grow not only through rigorous practice, but also through moments of fun, friendship, and reflection.

Kid’s Casual Day is designed to give our younger students an opportunity to relax the formality of regular class, invite their friends, show them Taekwondo, while still reinforcing the values and discipline of martial arts training.

What to expect

Casual Day is not a free-for-all; it is structured time for students to train with family and friends in a different way. Activities may include:

  • Approachable games that build agility, teamwork, and coordination.

  • Beginner friendly skills challenges developing balance, focus, memory, etc.

  • Character lessons tied to martial arts discipline and principles.

Etiquette and purpose

Students may wear comfortable athletic clothing instead of their dobok, provided it is neat, modest, and allows free movement. Basic dojang manners still apply; we still bow at the door, use respectful language, and pay attention to instructors.

The aim of Kid’s Casual Day is to remind young practitioners that Taekwondo is not just about kicking and forms. Taekwondo is a way of life that includes friendship, responsibility, and joy in practice. By alternating serious training with moments of playful learning, children develop a balanced understanding of martial discipline: firm yet kind, structured yet warm.

Casual Day is one more way we help our students and their friends to grow strong in body, steady in mind, and kind in heart.
